O, Local Christmas Tree

From Placerville’s Hansen Christmas Tree Farm… our first local Christmas tree!

After having our tree for a couple weeks, what a difference a live tree makes! Last year – with the tree we got from an asphalt lot on LA’s Wilshire Blvd. and 23rd Street – I was vacuuming pine needles DAILY that toppled off the tree. Two weeks after we cut down this tree (and daily watering), still not a needle on the ground. And so freakin’ green! I love me some local tree.

Anyone else get their tree from a local farm?

  1. The tree is great! Sure…. I love it.
    but how about that roaring fireplace!
    talk about extreme coziness!!!
    Makes me want to get cold just to get warm!
